, 蜜芽传媒' support group for technology entrepreneurs, is setting itself up as an independent nonprofit organization.
The group, formally known as the Information Technology Entrepreneur Network,听was launched in 2008 as an initiative of a nonprofit called听Innovate 蜜芽传媒.听Another arm of Innovate, now called听听became independent last year.
Gil Bickel, chairman of Innovate, said in a statement that he was "proud to see ITEN stand on its own." He said Innovate's board will meet this year to consider new initiatives.
ITEN now has its own board with听Jean Roberson听as president.听Jim Brasunas听continues as the group's executive director and听Francis Chmelir听is director of operations.

ITEN runs an program, provides mentoring to entrepreneurs and helps startup companies recruit talent. 听It has received funding from听Civic Progress, Missouri Technology Corp., the听Kauffman Foundation and听other organizations.
