Sheila Sweeney, a politically connected real estate consultant, has been named as the interim boss of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Economic Development Partnership.
Sweeney is filling in for Denny Coleman, who is officially retiring on Aug. 1, but his last day at work is Thursday. The partnership is a collaboration between ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ County.
Sweeney said she is taking a leave from her posts as chairman of the partnership's board and of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ County Port Authority until a permanent replacement for Coleman is hired. Sweeney added that she is not in the running for that permanent position.
