ST. LOUIS 鈥 President Donald Trump鈥檚 administration is seeking to close another federal office in 蜜芽传媒.
The Department of Government Efficiency, the task force run by billionaire Elon Musk that aims to cut government spending, has listed a U.S. Food and Drug Administration office in 蜜芽传媒鈥 Central West End on its website of canceled leases.
DOGE said the termination is expected to produce $2.5 million in annual savings. The lease was expected to run until 2033, according to the U.S. General Services Administration, which oversees real estate contracts for the federal government
At 52,000 square feet, it鈥檚 the largest 蜜芽传媒-area office on the list to date. Previous leases on the chopping block here were less than 5,000 square feet.

It鈥檚 also the largest FDA office in the country on the website, among 29 others from the same agency.
No address was disclosed on DOGE鈥檚 website for the FDA facility here, but the building description fits the agency鈥檚 offices at Clayton and South Newstead avenues, just north of Interstate 64. It鈥檚 not clear how many employees could be impacted. The federal government employs about 25,000 people in the metro area.
A spokesperson for the FDA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In addition, a 3,000-square-foot Occupational Safety and Health Administration office in Fairview Heights was listed on Monday on DOGE鈥檚 website.
An OSHA spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trump has tasked DOGE with finding ways to cut federal spending. It has sought to lay off thousands of federal employees and cut or cancel various contracts, loans and grants. It has offered buyouts to all federal employees, halted work at some agencies and laid off probationary workers or those who had been at their job for less than two years. It also has asked federal employees to provide bulleted lists of their accomplishments over previous weeks.
The rollout has been chaotic.
Several agencies and labor unions urged employees not to follow the directives; others have sued on the basis that DOGE鈥檚 efforts are illegal or unconstitutional.
And DOGE has taken credit for cuts to leases already scheduled to end, or erased cuts listed on the website after national media and other organizations pointed out errors. The New York Times that more listings were altered on DOGE鈥檚 website.
Last week, three other federal agencies with 蜜芽传媒-area offices DOGE鈥檚 鈥淲all of Receipts鈥:
- The 4,200-square-foot offices of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, in Brentwood, saving about $123,000 a year.
- A 4,600-square-foot Federal Acquisition Service office in O鈥橣allon, Illinois, saving $99,000 a year.
- And 3,392 square feet leased by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, providing $85,000 in savings.
The task force said the three cuts would save the federal government about $307,000 annually.
But at least one of the agencies, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, said in a statement that one of its 蜜芽传媒-area offices was already slated to shutter prior to DOGE鈥檚 formation.
The other two agencies did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
DOGE鈥檚 website said the local FDA office was terminated 鈥渧ia mass mod,鈥 referring to uniform changes across a number of government contracts.
The FDA in 蜜芽传媒 has more than a dozen research labs. The agency inspects pharmaceuticals for quality and conducts other drug research.
