It’s been more than six months since the Blues began the regular season, and about seven months since training camp opened. A lot happened since then as the Blues clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2022.
Let’s recap some of the key dates.
Oct. 8: The Blues play the first NHL game of the regular season in North America. Jordan Kyrou scores twice as St. Lous beats the Kraken, 3-2.
Oct. 22: In a 3-2 loss to the Jets, Robert Thomas fractures his ankle blocking a shot by Neal Pionk in the third period. He would miss 12 games, returning on Nov. 19 against Minnesota.
Oct. 29: The Senators blow out the Blues 8-1, one of a pair of seven-goal losses for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ in the season’s first 15 games. The Blues also lost 8-1 to Washington on Nov. 9.

Nov. 2: Craig Berube returns to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ for the first time since the Blues fired him in Dec. 2023 as the coach of the Maple Leafs. The Blues win, 4-2, but lose Philip Broberg to a lower-body injury that forces him to miss 12 games.
Nov. 5: Dylan Holloway is hospitalized after a puck hits the vagus nerve in his neck, causing him to lose consciousness in a game vs. Tampa Bay. Holloway was released quickly, and did not miss any games.
Nov. 24: One day after a 3-1 loss to the Islanders, the Blues fire coach Drew Bannister and hire Jim Montgomery. Bannister finishes his Blues tenure by going 39-31-6 in 84 games. Montgomery coaches his first game with the Blues the next day in Madison Square Garden, a 5-2 Blues win over the Rangers.
Dec. 7: Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg return to Edmonton for the first time after signing offer sheets with the Blues over the summer. Both players were booed whenever they touched the puck, and Holloway scored in a 4-2 Blues loss.
Dec. 14: The Blues acquire Cam Fowler from the Ducks, transforming the look of their defensive corps. Fowler would become one of the most impactful defensemen in the league since his acquisition, and he waived his no-trade clause to join the Blues.
Dec. 23: Dylan Holloway notches his first career hat trick in a 4-0 win over the Red Wings, the team’s final game before the Christmas break.
Dec. 31: Blues fans turn Wrigley Field into a home away from home as the Blues stay perfect in outdoor games with a 6-2 win over the Blackhawks in the Winter Classic.
Jan. 16: The Blues sweep a two-game set against the Flames, moving them one point back of the Flames in the chase for the second wild card spot in the Western Conference.
Jan. 18: Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich are benched in the first period of a 4-2 loss in Utah as the Blues miss their eighth opportunity to win three games in a row.
Jan. 31: The Avalanche dominate the Blues 5-0 to hand them their fourth straight loss for the first time under Montgomery. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ wakes up the next day seven points back of a playoff spot.
Feb. 8: Radek Faksa scores in the 11th round of the shootout to lift the Blues past the Blackhawks 6-5, and preventing the Blues from entering the 4 Nations break having lost seven of eight games.
Feb. 18: The Blues return to practice during the 4 Nations break, trailing Vancouver by eight points for the second wild card spot in the West. Within the next week, Jobu makes his first appearance inside the Blues dressing room.
Feb. 27: Brayden Schenn plays his 1,000th career NHL game, and the Blues finally win three straight games by beating the Capitals 5-2.
March 5: In the final game before the trade deadline, the Blues beat the Kings 3-2 in a shootout, but lose Colton Parayko for the next 17 games due to a knee injury suffered in overtime in Los Angeles.
March 20: The Blues move into a playoff spot for the first time since November with a 4-3 overtime win over the Canucks in the biggest game of the season. Philip Broberg scores the game-winning goal in OT.
March 22: Pat Maroon plays his final NHL game at Enterprise Center for the Blackhawks, as the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ native and member of the 2019 Cup-winning team is honored as the first star of the game.
March 23: Dalibor Dvorsky makes his NHL debut as the 19-year-old plays against the Predators. Nine days later, Jimmy Snuggerud becomes the next first-round pick to debut for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½.
March 29: The Blues lock down a 2-1 win in Colorado, surviving a third-period Avalanche push to snap the Avs’ 11-game home win streak. It is ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™ ninth straight win.
April 1: Jordan Kyrou scores late in the third period to tie the game, and Cam Fowler wins it in overtime to rescue the Blues win streak and extend it to 10 with a 2-1 win over the Red Wings.
April 3: The Blues rebound from losing a two-goal, third-period lead as Robert Thomas scores in overtime to beat the Penguins, 5-4. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ties a franchise record with its 11th straight win.
April 5: With a 5-4 win over the Avalanche, the Blues set a new franchise record with their 12th straight win, giving them an eight-point cushion for a playoff spot.
April 15: ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ clinches its first playoff berth since 2022 with a 6-1 win over Utah, securing a first-round matchup against Winnipeg. Robert Thomas finishes the season on a 12-game point streak, and the Blues win the last 12 home games of the regular season.
